Product - Air Handlers The Unico System uses almost any manufacturer's outdoor condensing unit or heat pump in conjunction with a specially designed indoor evaporator fan/coil unit, which distributes air through a high static pressure system of small ducts and plenums.
The "M Series" Unico fan/coil unit is for cooling and/or heating applications, and is available in three sizes, either - 1218, 2436, or 4260 which cover cooling capacities from two through five nominal tons and heating capacities from 3.5 kW to 27kW.
The 2436 and 4260 units are modular to accommodate the widest range of options and configurations.

Benefits:
Even Room Temperatures One of the most significant benefits is the very even room temperatures which can be rendered from these systems, often less than one-degree temperature difference throughout an entire space.
This happens through a process known as aspiration, where air enters a room at a higher velocity than with conventional air systems, and creates a venturi effect where all air in a room begins to gently draw itself toward the entering air, creating very even room temperatures. In this illustration, numerous outlets provide conditioned air, but the temperature difference through out will be one degree or less.
Little or No Drafts This same process, the aspiration process, also guards against drafting, which is a frequent complaint of most office heating and cooling systems. This is how standard heating and cooling systems work, leading to drafts, but also hot and cold spots.
Freedom of Design Additionally, these systems can save you valuable floor space within a room, as this illustration will show. Small duct/small air handler systems will free up 20 percent more floor space than standard radiators.
Better Aesthetics Additionally, these outlets are unobtrusive and have been designed to fit in and match with the space they are installed into, creating a much more visually appealing situation than other possible applications. Small duct small air handler systems can have their outlets installed in the floor, ceiling, or in a side wall, allowing for a variety of solutions within a space.
Quiet These systems, if they are installed correctly, and the design and installation rules governing the system have been followedare extremely quiet. Within a room, the outlets will generate less than 3 dab each, far below the British and European standard of 35 dab or less within a standardly sized room.
Improved Air Filtration Given climactic occurrences, the build up of smog, and the often acrid state of the air, providing filtration and ventilation is not only an option, it is often a necessity.
With the capacity to bring in up to 100 percent of outside air, continually refreshing and filtering the air as the system operates, small duct small air handler systems can help keep end users healthy.
